Job summary

Coffee Day Global invites applications for Store Personnel (Store & Inventory Management) at Joka, Kolkata. This full-time role focuses on efficient store operations, inventory control, and accurate record-keeping to ensure material availability for production and distribution.

You will manage receiving, storage, issuing, and documentation with ERP D365 and Excel, maintaining stock accuracy and supporting audits. Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations.

  • Receive materials, goods, and equipment from suppliers and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Arrange and store materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Issue materials to departments/users as per approved requisitions.

Job Description: Store Personnel (Store & Inventory Management)

Job Title: Store Personnel / Store Executive

Department: Stores & Inventory

Reporting To Kitchen Head

Job Purpose

To ensure efficient management of store operations by receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory records accurately. The role is responsible for maintaining stock levels, ensuring material availability, and supporting smooth operations through effective inventory control.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations
  • Receive materials, goods, and equipment from suppliers and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Arrange and store materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
  • Issue materials to departments/users as per approved requisitions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the store area.
  • Ensure proper Bin Cards, labeling and storage of all inventory items.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/software/manual registers.
  • Monitor stock levels and report low-stock, excess-stock, or obsolete inventory.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks.
  • Support periodic physical inventory verification and stock audits.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Prepare and maintain Material Issue Notes (MIN), stock registers, and inventory reports.
  • Keep records of inward and outward movements of materials.
  • Maintain documentation related to stock transfers, returns, and adjustments.
  • Ensure proper filing of store-related documents.
Coordination
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, regarding material requirements.
  • Follow up on pending deliveries and inventory replenishment requirements.
  • Assist in preparing inventory consumption and stock status reports.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems D365
  • Good understanding of stock verification and inventory control processes.
  • Basic computer skills, especially MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Inventory accuracy percentage.
  • Stock discrepancy rate.
  • Timely material receipt and issue processing.
  • Maintenance of accurate records and documentation.
  • Compliance with inventory and audit requirements.
  • Reduction in stock losses, damages, and obsolescence.
Working Conditions
  • Store, warehouse, manufacturing plant, or distribution center environment.
  • Require lifting, handling, and movement of materials.
  • May involve shift work depending on business requirements.
