Job summary

Egis Engineering India, based in Navi Mumbai, seeks an engineer to adapt French EPR electrical and instrumentation specifications for the Indian context, aligning with AERB regulations and Indian standards.

You will perform gap analyses, prepare localized specifications, evaluate Indian vendors, mentor junior engineers, and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 quality documentation for engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Technical Extraction: Analyze French EPR nuclear reactor electrical and controls & instrumentation specifications to extract key requirements for localization.
• Gap Analysis & Compliance: Perform gap analyses and build conformity matrices to map French specifications against Indian codes, standards, and AERB regulations.
• Specification Preparation: Draft localized electrical and instrumentation equipment specifications aligned with Indian regulatory frameworks and client needs.
• Vendor Evaluation: Assess prospective Indian manufacturers for their capability to meet localized EPR electrical/I&C specifications.
• Mentorship & Quality: Guide and train junior engineers while maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 quality control standards in engineering documentation.
• Reporting & Document Management: Maintain task schedules, prepare progress reports and meeting minutes, and support computerized document management systems

Job description

Role Overview & Objectives

The engineer will adapt and localize French technical specifications and documentation (originally developed for the Flamanville 3 reference project) to fit the Indian context. This involves aligning designs with AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) regulations, localizing the supply chain, and ensuring compliance with Indian standards.
