Job summary

Arabelle Solutions is seeking an Electrical Equipment and Systems Engineer in Noida, India, to perform engineering studies, SLD preparation, and protection design. You will conduct load flow/short‑circuit analyses using ETAP and review vendor documents while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires 5–7 years of electrical engineering experience in power/industrial projects, knowledge of IS/IEC/IEEE standards, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Create electrical SLDs and perform system studies (load flow, short circuit).
  • Design MV/LV switchgear and protection systems including tripping matrices.
  • Size CT/VT and perform cable sizing; prepare termination charts and RFQ specs.
  • Review vendor offers and post‑order documents; support site erection/commissioning.

Electrical Equipment and Systems engineer is required to perform engineering studies, sizing calculations, RFQ specifications, protections recommendations, vendor document reviews he/she is asked for, in the required time schedule and with quality.

Position title:Engineer-Electrical Equipment and Systems

Reporting to (Line):Engineering Manager- Electrical Components

Reporting to (Functional):Project Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

Following minimum activities are expected to be performed by this position:

  • Conceptualizing and preparing electrical Single Line Diagrams(SLDs).
  • System study like Load flow, short circuit study, load balance using ETAP tool.
  • Motor starting study for the HV and MV system.
  • Electrical protection system design including tripping matrix.
  • CT/VT sizing calculations.
  • MV/LV switchgear design and circuitry.
  • Cable sizing, cable lists, Termination charts preparation.
  • Providing technical replies to clients/consultants/vendors and responsible for correctness of the documents.
  • Represent engineering scope of supply and services to the project team and towards the customers and suppliers.
  • Preparation/checking of RFQ specifications for electrical components in tender/Project execution stage according to project specific requirements.
  • Review of vendor offers, preparation/review of TTAs.
  • Review of post order vendor docs/data sheets.
  • Interface as necessary to execute his/her allocated task, with the other disciplines i.e. Process, Mechanical, Civil etc.
  • Alert the Electrical Project Engineer(s) and his/her Line Manager of unexpected difficulties encountered during work.
  • Participate in design review and design freeze meeting and ensure the corrective actions defined by the design review are closed on time.
  • Support in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant document and facts.
  • Review and follow-up of the documentation of his/her scope of work.
  • Give technical support to the site Team during Erection and Commissioning of Electrical Equipment
  • Share return of experience from ongoing projects for benefit of other projects.
  • Prepare/arrange as-built documentation and participate in archiving final documentation.

  • Obtain on‑time decisions from the Electrical Project Engineer or Line Manager
  • Right to receive on‑time comprehensive and binding information relevant for the task to be performed from the functions involved in the project(s)
  • Receive technical support from the Electrical Project Engineer and Line Manager
  • Access to technical tools and corresponding support as well as specialists’ know‑how

Area(s) where the position holder provides recommendations

  • Alert other design Engineers of incoherencies or incorrect design he/she may discover during his/her work.
  • To advise his/her Line Manager about improvement of standard documentation and tools.
Key performance Indicators

The performance of the Electrical Engineer is measured against the successful execution of the project(s) task(s) he/she has to realize in term of quality and on‑time delivery.

In addition, performance is measured on his/her capacity to interact with other disciplines: smooth interface with Mechanical Partner, Civil Partner, Site Construction Team etc. and on his/her capacity to coordinate with engineering performed in other Engineering Centers or external Design Offices.

Further objectives, Targets and Performance Measurements are defined on a yearly basis.

Required Competences
Education
  • Electrical Engineering Degree with 5-7 years of experience in relevant areas.
Experience
Mandatory (MUST)
  • Experience of electrical engineering in power/industrial projects in the related activity.
  • Knowledge of National & International codes and standard like IS, IEC, IEEE.
  • Ability to handle the turnkey packages of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong intercultural skills and abilities of managing global processes & procedures.
  • Team player, collaborative.
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Experience of electrical engineering in the related activity for Power Plants
  • Exposure to electrical erection & commissioning field.
  • Experience in Nuclear power plant.
  • Experience of working in global multinational environment.
Language skills
Mandatory (MUST)
  • Strong ability to communicate verbally and in written English.
