Adani Capital Pvt Ltd is seeking a senior engineer to lead Pre-Dev coordination and land liaison activities for reactor island projects. The role involves overseeing engineering delivery, ensuring timely development and approval of deliverables, and coordinating cross-disciplinary reviews to align reactor technology with project requirements.
The candidate will manage design integration across reactor core systems, safety systems, and containment, while supporting regulatory licensing,
Reactor Island Engineering Delivery Lead engineering activities for the Reactor Island, including NSSS and safety-related systems. Ensure timely development, review, and approval of engineering deliverables in accordance with project schedule. Monitor engineering progress and identify potential bottlenecks affecting procurement, licensing, construction, or commissioning. Coordinate design reviews and technical assessments across reactor island disciplines. Ensure alignment between reactor technology supplier deliverables and project execution requirements.
Manage engineering integration for:
Ensure consistency of design basis across all reactor island systems. Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces among civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, and safety engineering teams. Lead technical resolution of design conflicts and interface issues.
Support establishment and implementation of Design Authority processes under guidance of Head – Nuclear Engineering. Review design changes and modifications affecting nuclear safety, reliability, operability, and constructability. Ensure all engineering changes are assessed through appropriate configuration management processes. Maintain design basis documentation and engineering records.
Support development and review technical specifications for major reactor island equipment and packages. Participate in bid evaluations and technical clarification meetings. Review vendor engineering documents and manufacturing drawings. Support long-lead equipment identification and procurement planning. Assist QA/QC teams in technical inspections and supplier assessments.
Coordinate technical responses to regulatory observations from AERB and other authorities. Ensure compliance with applicable: AERB Codes and Guides IAEA Standards ASME Nuclear Codes RCC-M IEC Standards International Nuclear Best Practices Participate in regulator interactions and technical presentations.
Resolve site engineering queries and non-conformances. Support construction sequencing and constructability reviews. Lead technical evaluation of field change requests. Support commissioning procedure reviews and pre-operational testing activities. Ensure engineering closure of punch points and commissioning observations.
Develop in-house expertise in selected reactor technologies such as: PHWR VVER AP1000 EPR SMR technologies Capture and institutionalize lessons learned from global and Indian nuclear projects. Mentor junior engineers and develop engineering competency within the organization. Support implementation of digital engineering tools, engineering databases, and knowledge management systems.
15+ years in nuclear power, conventional power, or other highly regulated process industries. Minimum 8–10 years of direct experience in reactor island engineering, systems engineering, design review, commissioning, or project engineering. Exposure to PHWR and/or international LWR technologies. Experience working with AERB, NPCIL, reactor vendors, or Owner's Engineers would be highly preferred.
