Powerstatic Solutions India Private Limited is seeking an Engineer – Electrical Equipment and Systems for Noida, India. The candidate will conceptualize SLDs, conduct ETAP-based studies, and design protection systems for HV/MV installations.

• Electrical degree with relevant experience in power or industrial projects.
• Experience in electrical engineering within power plants or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with IS/IEC/IEEE codes and standards.
• Ability to manage turnkey packages for electrical equipment and systems.
• Independent working capability and intercultural skills for global processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and prepare electrical SLDs.
• Perform system studies including load flow, short circuit, and load balance using ETAP.
• Design protection systems, calculate CT/VT sizing, and MV/LV switchgear wiring.
• Size cables, prepare termination charts, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors and ensure document correctness.
• Interface with Process, Mechanical, Civil teams for task execution.
• Prepare RFQ specifications and review vendor offers and post‑order docs.
• Provide technical support to site during erection and commissioning.
• Travel domestically and internationally to interface with customers and sites.

Position Details

Title: Engineer – Electrical Equipment and Systems

Location: Noida, India

Reporting to: Engineering Manager – Electrical Components (Line); Project Lead Engineer (Functional)

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and prepare electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
• Perform system studies including load flow, short circuit, and load balance using ETAP
• Conduct motor starting studies for HV and MV systems
• Design electrical protection systems, including tripping matrix, CT/VT sizing calculations, and MV/LV switchgear circuitry
• Size cables, create cable lists, and prepare termination charts
• Provide technical replies to clients, consultants, and vendors and ensure document correctness
• Represent the engineering scope of supply and services to the project team, customers, and suppliers
• Prepare and check RFQ specifications for electrical components during tender and execution stages
• Review vendor offers, prepare and review TTAs, and review post‑order vendor documentation
• Interface with other disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Civil, etc.) to execute allocated tasks
• Alert the Electrical Project Engineer and Line Manager of unexpected difficulties
• Participate in design review and design freeze meetings and close corrective actions on time
• Support claim negotiations and prepare relevant documents and facts
• Review and follow up on documentation within the scope of work
• Provide technical support to the site team during erection and commissioning of electrical equipment
• Share experience from ongoing projects to benefit other projects
• Prepare and arrange as‑built documentation and participate in archiving final documentation
• Travel domestically and internationally to interface with customers, partners, suppliers, and sites as required
• Make on‑time decisions within electrical engineering scope and provide timely technical support to the Electrical Project Engineer and Line Manager

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree with 5‑7 years of experience in power or industrial projects
• Experience in electrical engineering within power plants or industrial settings
• Knowledge of national and international codes and standards (IS, IEC, IEEE)
• Ability to handle turnkey packages for electrical equipment and systems
• Independent working capability and strong intercultural skills for managing global processes
• Team player and collaborative mindset
• Desirable: Experience in electrical erection and commissioning; experience in nuclear power plants; experience in a global multinational environment
• Strong verbal and written communication in English
