Job summary

adezign2build is seeking an Interior Designer in Chennai for on-site work. You will develop design concepts, space plans, and layouts for residential and commercial projects, meeting clients to translate requirements into mood boards and detailed drawings.

You will coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors, oversee FF&E selection, and help manage timelines and budgets while conducting site visits to ensure design intent is met.

Qualifications

Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, space plans, and detailed layouts for residential and commercial projects. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand requirements, preparing mood boards and material palettes, and creating drawings and presentations for design reviews. The role involves coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, overseeing FF&E selection, and ensuring that design intent is maintained during execution. The Interior Designer will also help manage project timelines and budgets, conduct site visits, and support quality checks during installation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and organize interiors effectively, with strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
• Understanding of Architecture principles and their integration into interior design projects.
• Proficiency in preparing and reading Construction Drawings, including detailed layouts and technical documents.
• Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools).
• Strong visual, creative, and conceptual design skills with attention to detail and functionality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle on-site coordination in Chennai.
