Role Description

This is a full-time Interior Designer role based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts for residential projects, including space planning, selection of finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand requirements, preparing mood boards and presentations, creating detailed drawings, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is executed on site. The role also involves site visits, reviewing construction progress, resolving design issues, and maintaining project documentation. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with the broader team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Site visits weekly min 2 to 3 times.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate client needs into practical, attractive layouts.
• Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills, including proficiency in preparing detailed plans and coordinating design documentation for execution.
• Candidates should possess FF&E skills, including selecting and specifying furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, and finishes that align with project budgets and design standards.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
• Strong visualization, creativity, and aesthetic sense, with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in residential interiors or turnkey projects is an advantage.
