Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid nursing registration (RN) and accredited nursing program; ICU certification is beneficial.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts; strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in ICU/CCU or high-dependency unit preferred with familiarity with monitoring equipment.

Role Description The Intensive Care Nurse role at RIMSHospitals is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Intensive Care Nurse will provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing ventilators and other life-support equipment, and responding promptly to changes in patient condition. This role involves working closely with critical care physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans, support emergency interventions, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and infection control standards. The nurse will also maintain accurate documentation, communicate clearly with patients’ families, and contribute to a culture of safety, compassion, and professional excellence in the intensive care unit.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and safe medication administration.
• Candidates should possess Critical Care Nursing skills for managing ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex post-operative or medically unstable cases.
• Candidates should possess Emergency Nursing skills for rapid response, triage, and stabilization of critically ill or trauma patients.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine to understand treatment plans, diagnostic results, and evidence-based protocols.
• Valid nursing registration (RN or equivalent) and completion of an accredited nursing program; specialized training or certification in critical care or ICU nursing is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays; strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-dependency unit is preferred, along with familiarity with advanced monitoring equipment and electronic medical records.
