Job summary

CliniLaunch Research Institute in Mumbai is seeking an Intensive Care Unit Doctor to deliver comprehensive critical care for ICU patients in a full-time, on-site capacity. You will assess, diagnose, and manage life-threatening conditions, order and interpret tests, and lead ICU procedures with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.

In this role, you will collaborate with nurses and allied teams, maintain clinical documentation, and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• MD/DNB/IDCCM with postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Pulmonology or Critical Care Medicine.
• Formal medical registration to practice in India; ICU/critical care training is desirable.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute/complex ICU conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to ICU patients including assessment, diagnosis and management of life-threatening conditions.
• Monitor patient status, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Perform ICU procedures (airway management, ventilator care, central line insertion) and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care and contribute to quality improvement.

Role Description

The Intensive Care Unit Doctor will provide comprehensive critical care to patients admitted to the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of life-threatening conditions. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing and adjusting treatments, and performing ICU procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and allied healthcare professionals, to ensure safe, evidence-based, and timely care. The ICU Doctor will also participate in clinical documentation, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives related to critical care practice. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Relevant medical degree MD / DNB / IDCCM with recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Pulmonology, or Critical Care Medicine.
• Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice as a physician in India; formal training or certification in intensive care or critical care is highly desirable.
• Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and complex conditions in an ICU setting.
• Proficiency in ICU procedures such as airway management, ventilator management, central line insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic data to guide evidence-based treatment decisions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families, including counseling in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to institutional protocols and national clinical guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a high-intensity environment with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or participating in clinical research or quality improvement projects in critical care is an added advantage.
