Role Description

The Insurance Agent role at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Insurance Agent will identify prospective clients, explain life insurance products, and recommend suitable solutions based on individual financial goals and protection needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients, conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals, and facilitating policy applications and documentation. The role involves maintaining regular contact with policyholders, providing ongoing service support, handling queries and policy updates, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The Insurance Agent will also work towards achieving sales targets, collaborating with internal teams, and staying updated on product features, regulatory guidelines, and market trends.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in Insurance Sales, with experience explaining and positioning life insurance solutions to diverse customers.
• Strong understanding of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage concepts, including policy structures, benefits, and regulatory requirements.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Finance, particularly personal financial planning and long-term savings and protection products.
• Proven Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and responsive follow-up to client needs.
• Minimum educational qualification: bachelor’s degree in any discipline; coursework in finance, business, or commerce is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment, manage multiple client relationships, and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency in English and local languages spoken in Bengaluru, along with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Prior experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services is preferred but not mandatory; fresh graduates with strong sales aptitude are encouraged to apply.
