Job summary

Meril Life Sciences in India seeks an instrumentation engineer to calibrate instruments, troubleshoot sensors, valves and loop systems. You will work with PLC, DCS and SCADA, interpret P&ID, wiring and hook-up drawings, and support commissioning and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming and instrumentation calibration.
• Knowledge of P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and hook-up drawings.
• Familiarity with PLC, DCS and SCADA systems and their integration.
• Ability to read and interpret instrumentation datasheets and control valve specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrument calibration and prepare calibration reports.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation faults and identify problems in sensors, transmitters, control valves, and signal wiring.
• Work with PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Understand and work with P&ID, instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and hook-up drawings.
• Perform loop checking and assist with commissioning activities.
• Check 4–20 mA, 24 VDC, digital signals, and analogue I/O.
• Follow plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance standards.
• Maintain documentation such as inspection reports, calibration records, and maintenance history.
