Job summary

Meril is hiring Diploma Mechanical Engineers for various production and maintenance roles within its manufacturing facilities in India. The position involves reading drawings, monitoring production processes, and supporting maintenance and quality activities.

Fresh graduates may receive on-the-job training and could be assigned to Production, Quality, Maintenance, CNC, Assembly, or Mechanical Design based on the company’s needs. Strong teamwork and eagerness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines and tools.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical engineering, production, manufacturing, maintenance, or quality-related activities.
• Read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Monitor machines, equipment, and production processes.
• Support installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Perform measurements and inspections using basic measuring instruments.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and other departments.
• Maintain daily production/maintenance records and prepare basic reports.
• Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Identify machine or process problems and report them to senior engineers/supervisors.
• Assist in continuous improvement and productivity improvement activities.

Job Description
