The role involves overseeing all instrumentation activities in oil & gas projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Responsibilities include managing installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems critical for process control and automation.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: 12–15 years in upstream oil & gas operations (onshore), with strong exposure to instrumentation systems in production facilities.

• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, API) and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Maintenance: Ensure availability and reliability of all instrumentation systems.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature transmitters, control valves, vibration monitoring systems).
• Manage calibration and health checks of smart instruments and control devices.
• Project & Commissioning: Oversee instrumentation scope in new projects and well pad commissioning.
• Review P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Safety & Compliance: Implement QHSE standards and statutory requirements for instrumentation systems.
• Support audits (ISO, VSAP) and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and technicians; plan manpower for routine and emergency jobs.
• Coordinate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams for integrated maintenance.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive reliability‑centered maintenance and asset optimization initiatives.
• Analyze failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
