Job summary

ContactX Resource Management Pvt Ltd seeks an experienced Instrumentation Design & Project Engineer for roles in design, engineering, documentation, vendor coordination and project execution. You will engage in tender evaluation, technical proposals and coordination across engineering, procurement and site teams.

The role involves visiting project sites, supporting pre- and post-sales activities and ensuring timely delivery with quality standards across Eastern India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering field (Electrical/Instrumentation).
• Experience: Fresher or 5–8 years in project execution, instrumentation design or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of datasheets, specs, BOQs and vendor document review.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review instrumentation datasheets, technical specifications, BOQs and other engineering documents.
• Evaluate tenders and prepare technical offers and project proposals.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical and commercial quotations, pricing and product specifications.
• Validate vendor datasheets, drawings and technical offers to ensure client requirements.
• Provide technical support to the sales team, including product knowledge and customer presentations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management and site teams for timely completion.
• Participate in technical meetings with customers, consultants, vendors and contractors.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical clarifications and project documentation.
• Coordinate external inspections and manage Inspection Release Notes (IRN).
• Assist in material code creation, procurement activities, inventory management and audits.
• Visit project sites to understand technical requirements and support site execution.
• Monitor progress to minimize design revisions and maintain schedules and quality.

Hiring an experienced Instrumentation Design & Project Engineer for a leading organization in the instrumentation and automation industry. The role involves project design, engineering, technical documentation, vendor coordination, proposal support and project execution.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review instrumentation datasheets, technical specifications, BOQs and other engineering documents.
2. Evaluate tenders and prepare technical offers and project proposals.
3. Coordinate with vendors for technical and commercial quotations, pricing and product specifications.
4. Validate vendor datasheets, drawings and technical offers to ensure compliance with client requirements.
5. Provide technical support to the sales team, including product knowledge, proposal preparation and customer presentations.
6. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management and site execution teams for timely project completion.
7. Participate in technical meetings and discussions with customers, consultants, vendors and contractors.
8. Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical clarifications and project documentation.
9. Coordinate external inspections, attend inspection calls and manage Inspection Release Notes (IRN).
10. Assist in material code creation, procurement activities, inventory management and internal audits.

13. Support commissioning, troubleshooting and project handover activities.

15. Support the Assistant Manager Design Instrumentation in daily engineering and project-related activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience: Fresher or 5 to 8 years of experience in project execution, instrumentation design or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation datasheets, technical specifications, BOQs and vendor document review.
• Understanding of instrumentation products, industrial automation and project engineering.
• Experience in tender evaluation, technical proposals, vendor coordination and procurement support.
• Knowledge of instrumentation drawings, technical documentation and project execution processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel across Eastern India as per project requirements.
