Job summary

Siemens DI PMS in Chhattisgarh invites applications for an Instrumentation Engineer Customer Services on a contractual basis. The role centers on maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments in caster, rolling mills, and tunnel furnaces.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years experience preferably in caster, rolling mills, and tunnel furnace with a bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronic engineering.
• Experience in maintenance of electrical/instrumentation systems of caster, rolling mills, and tunnel furnace.
• Experience in steel plant / metal plant is mandatory.
• Shall be able to join within one month from the date of offer.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance activities in caster, rolling mill, and tunnel furnace.
• Good knowledge of field instruments such as flow meters, orifice meters, analyzers, ultrasonic level transmitters, vortex flow meters, etc.
• Provide technical expertise to maintenance personnel including supervisors, foremen, and technicians.
• Organize, plan, and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities.
• Strategize maintenance work instructions and methods.
• Create plant preventative maintenance procedures.
• Plan routine maintenance of plant equipment and instruments.
• Schedule and obtain project materials and manpower.
• Check work-in-progress and during completion to meet specifications.
• Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
• Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills; identify and troubleshoot malfunctions, and replace parts and components as needed.
• Have a complete understanding of instrument calibrations and be able to calibrate different types of field instruments (e.g., flow meters, pressure devices, temperature sensors).
• Know-how of communications with external field devices such as IMCCs, VVVF drives, ACBs, relays, MFM, process parameter displays, gas analyzers, Profibus encoders, etc.
• Have a complete understanding of safety systems and be familiar with safety procedures while performing electrical work.
• Demonstrate good coordination and communication, maintaining positive relationships with team members and clients.
• Familiarity with report preparation, PPTs, and Excel.
