Purpose - Why does this role exist?
This role exist to oversee the Instrumentation function for the power plant ensuring system and processes are mistake proofed with safety always at foresight.

Position reports to : Section Incharge E&I
Location : JSWEL Vijayanagar
Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)
- Knowledge & Maintenance of DCS (ABB, Siemens & maxDNA) & PLC (Rockwell, Siemens, GE Fanuc & Modicon) systems.
- ERP system SAP knowledge for Maintenance & Material Procurement purpose
- Ensuring availability of BTG areas Control valves, On/Off valves, Pressure/Temperature/Flow/Level measuring instruments, Analyzers & Sensors.
- Working knowledge of Hydraulic governing systems & actuators.
- Knowledge of FSSS & Turbine control systems.
- Knowledge of critical systems such as Vibration monitoring system instruments & Air compressors.
- Knowledge of alarming systems such as Fire alarm system, H2/CO/chlorine leak detectors.
- BOM preparation for defined area & update periodically as per current physical stock
- Preparing Scope of work for major & minor service activities
- Review and control of spares consumption/procurement/inventory & expenditure
- Data compilation & Providing Inputs for Monthly reports & presentations
- Material planning & coordination with commercial to get the material at site for responsible section
- Achieving 100 % safety and zero incidents by doing HIRA, tool box talks
- Compliance towards statutory requirements of Walky Talky, Weighscales & BeltScales.
- Implementation of approved modification related to system improvement
- RCA for major equipment failure & implementation of CAPA
- Involvement in various drives taken by management like IMS, TQM, BCMS etc..

B. Tech (Instrumentation)

1-4 Years in Instrumentation Maintenance (Plant Capacity 100 MW & Above)
Working relationships - Stakeholders
Internal:
Coordination with Operation & other maintenance departments for ensuring smooth job execution.
External:
Statutory bodies like LMD (Legal metrology dept.) & DOT (Dept of Telecommunication).
