Job summary

PFS Engineering in Bangalore invites a senior Instrumentation Engineer to lead design and documentation for process plants. You will prepare specifications, datasheets, I/O lists, loop drawings and 3D model reviews.

Candidates should have 8+ years' experience, BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation, and strong knowledge of NEC/IEC standards; familiarity with FEED and detailed engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of instrumentation design experience in FEED or detail engineering.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, ISA, ISO standards and international codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Instrument Specifications & Datasheets, Instrument index, I/O list.
• Prepare Engineering Documents like Hook-ups, Loop Drawings and Wirings.
• Prepare Control valve data sheets, MOV data sheets, Relief valve data sheets.
• Prepare Field instrument specifications, RFQ & Technical Bid Evaluations.
• Review vendor documents.
• Prepare MTO & instrument cable schedules.
• Understand PID and materials for field instruments.
• Work with NEC, NFPA, IEC, ISA, ISO standards.
• Experience in FEED & Detail Engineering in Instrumentation.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping & Electrical teams for 3D model reviews.
• Knowledge in FAT & SAT & field instruments.
• Proficient in Imperial & Metric units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Instrumentation Engineer shall be responsible for the following activities but not limited to

• Preparation & review of Instrument Specifications & Datasheets, Instrument index, I/O list
• Preparation of all Engineering Documents like Hook-ups, Loop Drawings and Wirings.
• Preparation of Control valve data sheet, On & Off (MOV) valve data sheets, Relief valve & pressure regulating data sheets
• Preparation of Field instrument specifications, RFQ & Technical Bid Evaluations.
• Review of vendor documents
• Preparation of Materia take-off (MTO) & instrument cable schedule documents.
• Should have capacity to understand PID and good knowledge of material used for field instruments.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, ISA, ISO Standards and International Codes.
• Should be experienced working in both FEED & Detail Engineering in Instrumentation
• Should involve in 3D model review & Inter-disciplinary coordination with Process, Piping & Electrical department
• Preparation of Cause and Effect
• Preferable to be Knowledge in FAT & SAT & Filed Instruments
• Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
