Job summary

PFS Engineering is seeking an Instrumentation Designer in Bangalore with 3–10 years of experience and BE/B.Tech in Electrical or Instrumentation. The role focuses on developing location plans, wiring/loop diagrams, MTOs, and layouts while interfacing with multiple disciplines to finalize cable tray and instrument deliverables.

You will work with AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D and CADWorx, ensuring compliance with area classifications and international standards.

Qualifications

• Must have proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D and CADWorx.
• Experience with electrical/instrumentation drawings and MTOs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Location Plans.
• Prepare Wiring/Loop diagrams.
• Prepare Hook up drawings.
• Prepare MTOs.
• Layouts - cable tray, conduit, air supply.
• Understand P&IDs.
• Detail Engineering deliverables using AutoCAD (JB grouping & wiring, Routing Layouts, extraction from 3D models).
• Prepare control room and analyzer room layouts.
• Interface with other disciplines for cable tray/layout deliverables.
• Knowledge of Area classification.
• Working knowledge of NEC/NEPA/ISO Standards and International Codes.
• Proficient in Imperial & Metric Units.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Instrumentation Designer shall be responsible for the following activities but not limited to:

• Preparation of Location Plans
• Preparation of Wiring/Loop diagrams
• Preparation of Hook up drawings
• Preparation MTOs
• Layouts- cable tray, conduit, air supply.
• Should have the capacity to understand P&IDs
• Experience in Detailed Engineering deliverables using Auto Cad such as JB grouping & wiring, Routing Layouts, extraction from 3D models etc
• Experience of preparing control room and analyzer room layout
• Must be able to interface and work with other disciplines for the finalization of cable tray layout and other instrument design deliverables.
• Knowledge of Area classification
• Working knowledge of NEMA, NEC, NEPA, EC, 54, ISO Standards and International Codes.
• Proficient in both Imperial & Metric Units
