Newton School invites an enthusiastic Competitive Programming / DSA mentor to inspire the next generation of software engineers. As an Instructor, you will teach Data Structures, Algorithms and Competitive Programming, and guide students through coding interviews and contests.

This role suits someone with a strong programming background who enjoys solving challenging problems and teaching others how to approach them, with 1–2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in software development, competitive programming, coding instruction, or teaching assistance.
• Strong command of Data Structures Algorithms.
• Strong programming skills in C++.
• Demonstrated competitive programming experience.
• Experience with Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder, LeetCode, etc.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• A genuine interest in teaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging classroom sessions on DSA and Competitive Programming.
• Teach algorithms, data structures, problem-solving techniques, and coding patterns.
• Mentor students through progressively challenging coding problems.
• Prepare coding assignments, contests, assessments, and practice problems.
• Conduct doubt-solving and individual/group mentoring sessions.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Competitive Programming / DSA enthusiast who can inspire and mentor the next generation of software engineers.

As an Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching Data Structures Algorithms and Competitive Programming, helping students develop strong problem-solving skills and preparing them for coding competitions, technical interviews, and software engineering careers.

This role is particularly suited for someone who has a strong programming background and genuinely enjoys solving challenging problems and teaching others how to approach them.

• Strong Codeforces / CodeChef rating.
• ICPC participation or experience in competitive programming contests.
• Experience mentoring students or conducting coding sessions.

• Strong understanding of algorithms beyond interview-level DSA.
