Job summary

Newton School is seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Associate Instructor – Full Stack Development to join its Computer Science Department. This role is ideal for engineers with 2–4 years of industry experience who are passionate about software development and mentoring the next generation of developers.

You will deliver engaging sessions, run coding labs, guide student projects, and collaborate with senior faculty and industry partners to keep content aligned with current standards.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in at least one of JavaScript, Java, Python, or C/C++.
• Strong understanding of OOPs, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with application frameworks, APIs, and deployment basics.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly to students.
• Willingness to teach foundational CS subjects when needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach and deliver modules on Full stack development.
• Conduct coding labs in JavaScript, SQL, Node.js, Python.
• Mentor students in projects, debugging, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Course Development & Delivery: Teach and support modules on Full stackdevelopment, including OOPs, Data Structures, Algorithms, and SoftwareEngineering concepts.
• Hands‑on Labs: Conduct coding labs in JavaScript, SQL, Node.js, Python, andother programming languages to build practical skills.
• Student Mentorship: Assist students in projects, debugging, coding best practices,and application design.
• Collaboration: Work with senior faculty, industry partners, and curriculum teams tokeep content aligned with industry standards.
