Instructional Designer – Digital & Video Learning

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and multi‑skilled Content Developer who can create high‑quality learning content for our LMS, convert classroom decks into self‑paced modules, shoot and edit video‑based content, and build engaging e‑learning using industry‑leading tools. This role is critical in shaping Ambak’s digital learning experience across the organisation.

E-Learning Content Development

• Convert classroom training decks/PDFs into interactive self‑paced modules.
• Build courses using tools like Articulate 360 (Rise & Storyline), Vyond, iSpring, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator etc.
• Create assessments, knowledge checks, simulations, quizzes, and certification flows.
• Ensure all content is aligned with Ambak brand guidelines and L&D learning outcomes.

Video Shooting & Production

• Plan, script, shoot & edit learning videos, explainers, walkthroughs and demo videos.
• Shoot content with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and leaders as required.
• Handle basic production setup: lighting, framing, audio quality, background setup, etc.
• Edit videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Add motion graphics, captions, transitions, subtitles, brand stingers, intros/outros.

Graphic & Visual Design

• Create visual assets, illustrations, infographics and animations for e‑learning modules.
• Use tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Figma for layouts and designs.
• Build branded templates for repeatable learning content.

LMS & Deployment Responsibilities

• Upload, test, and troubleshoot courses on the LMS (SCORM/xAPI compatible).
• Track learner progress and ensure modules are correctly configured.
• Collaborate with L&D, Product, HR, and Business teams for updates and improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest AI‑based tools for content creation such as:
  • Synthesia, HeyGen, D-ID (AI talking head videos)
  • RunwayML, Pika, Kaiber (AI animation & video generation)
  • Descript, Wisecut (AI editing & transcription)
  • Canva AI, Gamma, Tome, Notion AI for content automation
• Recommend new workflows to improve content quality & turnaround time.
• 2–5 years of experience in E‑Learning Development or Digital Content Creation.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond, and at least one Adobe video editing tool.
• Proven experience in video shooting & editing.
• Ability to create animated videos, explainers & character‑based learning.
• Strong command over English writing, instructional design basics, and storytelling.
• Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI, LMS workflows & course packaging.
• Understanding of adult learning principles, micro‑learning, and scenario‑based learning.

👍 Good to Have

• Experience with AI tools for content creation (Synthesia, Pika, Runway, HeyGen, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of voiceovers, audio editing & background score selection.
• Familiarity with marketing‑style video creation to make content visually appealing.
• Ability to convert complex processes into simple, engaging learning journeys.
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Mass Media, Animation, Instructional Design, Multimedia, or similar fields.
• Certifications in Articulate 360, Adobe, or Instructional Design are a plus.
