Job summary

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in Haryana, India seeks a Quality Inspector to verify materials against client standards and oversee in-process and final product inspections.

The role involves documenting findings, coordinating with the inspection team, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures. You will perform visual and dimensional checks, report discrepancies, and uphold professional ethics while liaising with site contacts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate raw materials and materials against client standards.
• Evaluate factory capabilities as necessary.
• Inspect products for defects and workmanship against reference samples.
• Visual inspection and measurement of finished products vs client criteria.
• Follow procedures established by company and client.
• Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Prepare draft or final inspection reports with inspection coordinator.
• Communicate with site contact and inspection coordinator in writing.
• Must be proficient with computer hardware and company software.
• Adhere to UL EH&S procedures and client requirements.
• Read and follow UL Code of Conduct; follow security practices.
• Other duties as needed.

Job description

• Evaluate raw materials, associated materials against clients standard, check order against items received.
• May include evaluating factory capabilities as necessary.
• Inspect products for defects and overall workmanship during in process, and or final stages, checking quality against reference sample or other client-approved standard/criteria.
• Visual inspection and measurement of finished products against client standard/criteria.
• Follows all required procedures established by company and client.
• Represents company in professional and ethical manner.
• Working with inspection coordinator, produce draft or final inspection report.
• Communicate with site contact (verbal &written).
• Communicate with inspection coordinator (verbal & written).
• Must be knowledgeable in use of computer hardware and have skill level required to use software currently in use by department.
• Adherence to all relevant UL environmental, health, and safety procedures and regulations, as well as any requirements from the client that may be applicable.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Other job duties as needed.
