Job summary

Aequs Consumer Products Pvt Ltd (ATP) in Hubli is seeking a Technical Assistant Injection Molding to support and drive molding operations. You will operate molding machines, control processes, ensure quality, and contribute to continuous improvement across levels from junior to senior assistant roles.

Responsibilities include setting parameters, troubleshooting defects, coordinating with maintenance, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical / Plastics / Production Engineering
• Experience with injection molding machines and processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and SOPs
• Hands-on use of measuring instruments
• Debug and troubleshoot molding defects and process issues

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines per SOPs and production plans
• Set and monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, cooling time)
• Identify and troubleshoot molding defects (flash, short shot, shrinkage, warpage)
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance
• Conduct in-process inspections and maintain quality documentation
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen) and improve OEE and productivity

Job Summary

This role supports and drives injection molding operations across varying levels of expertise. The position is responsible for machine operation, process control, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. The scope and ownership increase progressively from Junior Technical Assistant to Senior Technical Assistant.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Operate injection molding machines in line with SOPs and production plans
• Ensure adherence to daily production targets and shift schedules
• Optimize cycle time and machine utilization (as per role level)
• Handle material loading, part removal, and production flow

Machine & Process Management

• Assist/perform mold changeovers and machine setups
• Set and monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, cooling time, cycle time)
• Identify and troubleshoot molding defects (flash, short shot, shrinkage, warpage)
• Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance

Quality Assurance

• Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments
• Ensure product quality meets specifications and standards
• Reduce rejection rates through corrective actions
• Maintain quality and process documentation

Safety, 5S & Compliance

• Always follow safety protocols and PPE usage
• Maintain shop-floor discipline and workplace organization (5S)
• Ensure adherence to EHS and company policies

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction)
• Improve OEE, cycle time, and productivity
• Support cost optimization and process improvements
