Hamilton Writing Instruments is seeking a senior production head to lead injection moulding operations and drive process improvements across the plant. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and optimizing moulding processes while coordinating with maintenance and QA teams for sustained quality and output.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with high-volume moulding lines, data analysis, and ISO-compliant environments, plus SAP proficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 14–16+ years in injection moulding operations.
• Minimum 10 years in a managerial role in writing instrument industries.
• Experience handling above 50 injection moulding machines.
• Excellent knowledge in data analysis.
• Working experience in an ISO certified environment.

Aufgaben

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve targets.

• Maximize productivity by optimal use of moulding machines, auxiliaries, molds, and manpower.

Role & responsibilities

Production & Process Improvement

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
• Monitor production schedules and coordinate with PPC for on-time delivery.
• Ensure optimum utilization of Injection Moulding machines, auxiliaries, molds, and manpower to maximize the productivity.
• Establish and optimize moulding process parameters.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM and 5S methodologies.
• Reduce cycle time, rejection, rework, scrap, and energy consumption.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Quality Assurance

• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for processing capability studies and corrective actions.
• Analyze customer complaints and implement preventive actions.
• Ensure adherence to ISO quality management systems.

Maintenance Coordination of Mould & Machines

• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure machine, mold and auxiliary equipment availability and ensure proper mold installation, trials, validation, and maintenance.
• Monitor and improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
• Monitor mold performance and life cycle.
• Coordinate with tool room for mold modifications and repairs.

Cost Control

• Control production costs through optimization of manpower, materials, utilities and consumables.
• Monitor material consumption, inventory control, stock tally and reduce material wastage.

Safety, Health & Environment

• Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
• Drive zero-accident culture and ensure statutory compliance.

Team Management

• Lead and develop supervisors, engineers, operators, and technicians.
• Identify training needs and develop competencies.
• Drive employee engagement and performance management initiatives.
• Coordinate with customers during audits and visits.

Automation Drive

• Initiative for a Centralize Auto Conveying System for material feeding to eliminate manual material feeding.
• Initiative for an Automatic conveyor from machine to store area to eliminate manual transportation.
• Initiative for Automatic Packing System
• Machine monitoring software
• Continuous improvement on day-to-day activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• 14 to 16 + years in Injection Moulding operations.
• Minimum 10 years in a managerial role in writing instrument industries.
• Experience handling above 50 nos. of injection moulding machines.
• Excellent knowledge in data analysis
• Working experience in an ISO Certified environment company
• Preferably experience in Writing Industries.
