Job summary

Pinnacle Industries is seeking a mechanical engineer with expertise in injection mold design and CREO-driven part modeling. The role involves evaluating molding processes, performing DFM and mold flow analyses, and generating accurate 3D assemblies and 2D drawings with BOMs.

A strong understanding of plastics, mold steels, shrinkage, and cooling is essential. Candidates should have 3-4 years of experience in injection mold design, with proficiency in CREO and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Injection mold manufacturing process and molding material.
• Mold Design of injection molding parts based on product requirement using CREO software.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews, part moldability studies, and mold flow analysis to prevent defects like sink marks or poor flow.
• Create detailed 3D assemblies and 2D drawings for core/cavity, electrodes, and BOM.
• Understanding of plastic materials, mold steel, shrinkage rates, and cooling systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand injection mold processes and materials used in 2-plate, 3-plate, hot runner, split/unscrewing tooling.
• Design and review molds using CREO to meet product requirements.
• Perform DFM reviews and moldability studies to ensure moldability and quality.
• Create precise 3D assemblies and 2D drawings with BOM for core/cavity/electrodes.
• Assess plastics, mold steels, shrinkage, and cooling system implications.

Understanding of Injection mold manufacturing process and molding material. (2-plate, 3-plate, hot runner, split/unscrewing)

Mold Design of injection molding parts based on product requirement using CREO software.

Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews, part moldability studies, and mold flow analysis to prevent defects like sink marks or poor flow.

Create detailed 3D assemblies and 2D drawings for core/cavity, electrodes, and BOM (Bill of Materials).

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: CIPET, Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Tool & Die Making.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in injection mold design.
• Software Proficiency: PTC-Creo, Auto Cad
