Job summary

Buro Happold in Mumbai (with Bengaluru opportunities) seeks an Infrastructure BIM Modeller to convert engineering sketches into accurate 3D models using Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks. You will coordinate models across disciplines and support BIM360 collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models from engineering sketches using Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD; Navisworks for clash detection.
• Set up linked models and coordinate across disciplines.
• Coordinate with engineering and client teams using BIM360/ACC.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with BIM Execution Plan and project requirements.
• Support project delivery with accurate construction drawings and data extraction.
• Review models for quality and adherence to standards.

Infrastructure BIM Modeller

We are currently seeking candidate for Infrastructure BIM Modeller position to represent BH on our ongoing and future Projects, primarily in Mumbai or Bengaluru. The individual must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working to deliver complex projects for an Engineering Consultancy.

Your next role

• As an Infrastructure BIM Modeller your role will be to develop engineering calculations/ sketches into 3D models via advanced modelling tools such as Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, ACAD, Navisworks for clash detection and Enscape for presentation. You will also setup, manage and coordinate your models/drawings with other engineering disciplines and will be working closely with the engineering and client teams using BIM360 or ACC.
• The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in the built environment.
• Extensive experience in Façade modelling & drawing detailing using Autodesk software’s such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD
• Proficient in using BIM authoring tools to provide technical support and mentoring required to the project team.
• Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
• An understanding of industry wide BIM standards
• Follow the established BIM execution plans and adhere to project specific documentation.
• Experience in parametric design and computational modelling added advantage.
• Knowledge of working in sketch up would be an added advantage
• Ensure that the model aligns with the standards and goals set in BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
• Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision
• Taking ownership of the model/drawing
• Sound knowledge of Infrastructure Services such as potable, storm water drains, sewer, roads
• Create discipline specific BIM Modelling content and able to generate façade system families in BIM working on projects
• Develop accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform.
• Able to develop concept ideas into drawing details.
• Drawing/detail production from engineering sketches/calculations
• Making sure drawing production follows company standards.
• Reviewing model/drawings to check compliance with design.
• Responsible for ensuring delivery of model/drawing to agreed project programmes with quality.
• Clash detection, resolution and reporting ensuring a coordinated design.

Your Skills And Experience

• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
• Interest in built environment and total relevant experience of 3-5 yrs., including working in the REVIT, Civil 3D for infrastructure projects.
• Good communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in civil engineering / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Certificate Course.
