Buro Happold is seeking an experienced BIM/CAD leader to drive infrastructure projects in Bengaluru. You will lead and mentor the BIM/CAD team, ensure technical excellence, and oversee QA/QC in line with BH standards.

The role includes client liaison, fee proposals, and contributing to winning work and project delivery. The candidate should have 15+ years in BIM/CAD for infrastructure, strong 2D/3D design capabilities, and proficiency with BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and BIM

Qualificações

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in BIM/CAD modelling focused on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to produce 2D and 3D models and construction drawings for infrastructure schemes.
• Experience in BIM execution plans and collaboration tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the BIM/CAD team and mentor staff to ensure quality in project deliverables.
• Support retention and succession planning for BIM/CAD team.
• Oversee adherence to BH CAD Standards, specifications and BIM standards.
• Address quality issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Engage with internal clients, prepare fee proposals, and assist in winning work to drive utilisation and financial control.
• Ensure work meets budget, schedule, and technical standards with QA & QC.
• Direct line management including mentoring junior staff to ensure technically excellent outputs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive team culture.

Your Next Role

• Leading the BIM/CAD team and providing support and mentoring to ensure quality in project deliverables.
• Responsible for supporting retention and succession planning of BIM/CAD team.
• Oversee adherence to technical standards and meet quality control and quality assurance requirements in accordance with BH CAD Standards, specifications and BIM standards.
• Responsible for quality and managing quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• The position will involve internal client liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, winning work to achieve team utilisation and financial control of projects.
• Responsible for ensuring work is delivered to budget, programme and technical standards and meet QA & QC.
• Direct line management, including mentoring and managing junior staff ensuring technical excellence is in everything we deliver.
• Helping maintain the culture and positive working environment in the team.

Your Skills and Experience

• A diploma or bachelor's or equivalent degree in civil engineering
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in BIM/CAD modelling, focusing on infrastructure projects
• The ability to produce 2D and 3D models, design and construction drawings in delivering infrastructure schemes.
• Expertise in developing BIM execution plans and implementing them using various collaboration tools like BIM 360/ACC etc.
• Expertise in producing infrastructure designs/drawings such as roads, earthworks, drainage layouts, utility layouts, schedules, etc.
• Expertise in 3D clash detection tools and design coordination.
• Solid knowledge of the relevant standard details in compliance with domestic and international market requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with various automation tools and using scripts.
• Expertise in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle tracking, Navisworks and BIM collaboration tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with no supervision.
• Communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
