Job summary

Tonik is seeking a proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain core IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and a seamless end-user experience. This IC role covers end-user computing, networking, IT asset management, Office 365, and Atlassian platforms, with emphasis on operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on Jira Admin, Azure AD, and Office 365 experience, strong networking skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on IT infrastructure, system administration or IT support.
• Strong Jira Administration, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Administration.
• Hands-on Office 365 Administration, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Endpoint Management.
• Solid networking fundamentals: LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi, firewall policies.
• Experience in IT Asset Management and software license management.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change.
• Nice-to-have: Microsoft Intune, ITIL Foundation, CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, and end-user IT issues.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows operating systems and end-user devices.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding activities including laptop provisioning, software installation, and account setup.
• Administer Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and user access management.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall policies.
• Perform OS patching, endpoint security updates, and device hardening.
• Manage IT asset inventory, software licenses, and hardware lifecycle.
• Monitor and resolve IT helpdesk tickets while adhering to SLA timelines.
• Configure and administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.
• Create and manage Jira projects, workflows, issue types, custom fields, screens, notification schemes, users, and permission schemes.
• Administer Confluence spaces, pages, user permissions, and knowledge repositories.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty management, and infrastructure support.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset reports, SOPs, and infrastructure records.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth IT operations and deliver an excellent end-user experience.

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and seamless end-user experience. This Individual Contributor role is integral to managing end-user computing, networking, IT asset management, Office 365 administration, and Atlassian platforms while ensuring operational excellence across the organization.

The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with Jira & Atlassian Administration, networking fundamentals, Office 365 administration, IT asset management, and excellent communication skills. This role is focused on Core IT Infrastructure and is not intended for Cloud or DevOps Engineers.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, or IT Support.
• Strong experience in Jira Administration, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Office 365 Administration, Active Directory, Azure AD, and Endpoint Management.
• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and Firewall configuration.
• Experience in IT Asset Management, Hardware Inventory, Software License Management, and Device Lifecycle Management.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Good to have: Microsoft Intune, ITIL Foundation, CCNA Certification.
