Responsibilities

• Provide production support for Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, and workflows.
• Monitor daily ETL batch jobs and ensure timely data processing.
• Troubleshoot job failures, data issues, and performance bottlenecks; resolve errors.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement fixes.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management per defined SLAs.
• Coordinate with upstream/downstream teams to resolve data integration issues.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to validate data and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage job dependencies, scheduling, workflow recovery, and reruns.
• Maintain support documentation, incident reports, SOPs, and knowledge transfer notes.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted data operations.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Informatica PowerCenter Support Engineer to support and maintain enterprise data integration processes for a banking client. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in production support, incident management, troubleshooting ETL workflows, and ensuring smooth data processing within a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows, mappings, sessions, and workflows.
• Monitor daily ETL batch jobs and ensure timely completion of data processing activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, data issues, performance bottlenecks, and workflow errors.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management processes in line with defined SLAs.
• Work with upstream and downstream application teams to resolve data integration issues.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to validate data, investigate discrepancies, and support issue resolution.
• Manage job dependencies, scheduling, workflow recovery, and rerun activities.
• Maintain support documentation, incident reports, SOPs, and knowledge transition documents.
• Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted data operations.
• Work in rotational shifts and support banking production environments as required.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter in a production support environment.
• Good understanding of ETL processes, mappings, sessions, workflows, and workflow monitoring.
• Strong SQL skills, including query writing, data validation, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in production incident management, RCA, and SLA-driven support.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting is preferred.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and database fundamentals.
• Banking or financial services domain experience is mandatory.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be available to join immediately or within 15 days maximum.
• Must be willing to work in rotational shifts.
• Must be open to working from Pune or Nagpur, as per project requirements.
• Candidates should have relevant hands-on experience supporting critical production environments.
