Job Title: Informatica Support Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Support Lead to manage and support ETL operations in a production environment. The ideal candidate will lead a support team, ensure smooth execution of data pipelines, and handle incident management using Informatica PowerCenter. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, operational excellence, and the ability to maintain high system availability.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Monitoring

• Monitor daily ETL workflows, sessions, and batches to ensure successful execution.
• Provide L2/L3 support for Informatica jobs and resolve production issues within SLA timelines.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for failures and implement preventive measures.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management processes.

Issue Resolution & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot failures in ETL jobs, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
• Coordinate with development teams for bug fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain and support existing ETL workflows and mappings in Informatica PowerCenter.
• Ensure data availability and integrity across systems.

Data Quality & Governance

• Validate data loads and ensure adherence to data quality standards.
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies or anomalies.
• Support audit, compliance, and data governance activities.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of support analysts/engineers.
• Manage shift schedules (if applicable) and ensure support coverage.
• Review tickets, ensure SLA adherence, and drive continuous improvement.

Automation & Optimization

• Automate repetitive support tasks using Unix shell scripting.
• Perform performance tuning of ETL jobs and database queries.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to reduce incidents.

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for production issues and escalations.
• Communicate status updates, incident reports, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business users and technical teams for issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Informatica certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 7-10 years of experience in ETL/Data Integration support.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a support leadership or senior support role.
• Strong experience in production support environments.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter.
• Strong SQL skills (mandatory) for data analysis, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting (mandatory) for automation and job handling.
• Experience in job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
