Job summary

Data Prowess is seeking a seasoned Data Test Analyst in Bengaluru to validate ETL workflows, ensure data integrity, and support data quality initiatives. You will work with Informatica PowerCenter to verify transformations, perform source-to-target validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality.

Key responsibilities include test strategy, complex SQL validation, defect tracking, and automation where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in ETL testing with Informatica PowerCenter and data validation.
• Strong SQL for complex queries, joins, indexing and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• ETL Testing: Validate ETL workflows, data transformations, and data loads using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Data Validation: Conduct source-to-target data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
• SQL & Database Testing: Write and execute complex SQL queries for validating data in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
• Defect Management: Log defects and track via JIRA/HP ALM/TestRail.
• IDQ validation: Automate ETL test processes where applicable.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, BAs, and QA teams to resolve issues and uphold data quality.
• Performance Testing: Identify bottlenecks and propose optimization strategies.

Data Prowess is looking for a seasoned Data Test Analyst with deep expertise in ETL testing and Informatica PowerCenter. You will play a critical role in validating data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support data quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Testing: Validate ETL workflows, data transformations, and data loads using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Data Validation: Conduct source-to-target data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
• SQL & Database Testing: Write and execute complex SQL queries for validating data in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.
• Defect Management: Identify and log defects; track and manage through tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or TestRail.
• Validation (IDQ) to automate ETL test processes.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, BAs, and QA teams to investigate issues and uphold data quality.
• Performance Testing: Identify and report performance bottlenecks in ETL jobs; suggest optimisation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in ETL/Informatica Testing.
• Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter and ETL validation.

Strong SQL knowledge with the ability to handle complex queries, joins, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and BI reporting tools.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills. Preferred Skills
