Job summary

Health Pillar Hospitals is seeking an experienced infection prevention professional to lead surveillance, monitor hand hygiene and sterilization, and drive policy implementation across all clinical areas.

You will coordinate outbreak investigations, liaison with the microbiology lab, conduct staff training, perform environmental audits, report trends to the quality committee, and ensure compliance with local, national, and international health standards.

Responsibilities

• Track and record daily hospital-acquired infection data across all clinical departments.
• Monitor compliance with hand hygiene, sterilization, and isolation procedures during rounds.
• Plan and lead training programs for healthcare workers on safety standards.
• Respond to infection spikes, identify root causes, and implement containment measures.
• Update and create facility-wide infection control protocols using official guidelines.
• Work closely with the microbiology lab to review culture and sensitivity reports.
• Inspect high-risk patient areas, equipment cleanliness, and waste management practices.
• Analyze infection trends and present monthly reports to the quality team and committee.
• Guide staff on post-exposure management, needle-stick injuries, and required vaccinations.
• Ensure all facility operations meet local, national, and international health standards.
