Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS in Bangalore, Karnataka, India is seeking an Industry Consulting Senior Consultant to lead Agile practices within project teams. You will enforce Scrum disciplines and ensure alignment with sprint goals while coordinating with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain healthy backlogs and transparent progress.

You will track Agile metrics, guide delivery improvement, and remove impediments to enhance velocity, quality, and predictability in large initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2.1 or higher in a related discipline from an academic institution; Masters a plus.
• 5+ years in the role of Scrum Master, XP coach, or Agile servant leader
• 5+ years in a leadership or technical role in software or systems development
• Track record of delivering complex projects through agile process
• Understanding of DevOps concepts
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Agile/Scrum certification SAFe or CSM

Responsibilities

• Track and interpret Agile metrics like velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, lead time, defects, and capacity.
• Use retrospectives and metrics to improve delivery predictability, quality and team health.
• Surface delivery risks early and coordinate with other teams to maintain smooth execution.
• Promote clear ownership, honest status reporting, and visible progress toward sprint and release goals.
• Identify blockers quickly and resolve them, including cross-team issues.

• Must organize and run daily stand ups
• Must keep the IT team focused on sprint plan and support regular reviews
• Responsible for ensuring stakeholders are up to speed on IT team progress
• Partner with Product Owner and stakeholders. Work closely with the Product Owner on backlog health, prioritization flow, refinement practices, and stakeholder communication.
• Track and interpret Agile metrics. Monitor velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, lead time, defect trends, and team capacity to help teams improve performance.
• Use retrospectives, metrics, and observation to improve delivery predictability, quality, team health, and process efficiency.
• Surface delivery risks early, coordinate with other teams, and help maintain smooth execution in larger initiatives.
• Promote clear ownership, honest status reporting, and visible progress toward sprint and release goals.
• Ability to identify blockers quickly and resolve them, including organizational or cross-team issues that are harder than day-to-day team problems.
