Job summary

Tata Electronics (TEPL) invites an experienced Capacity Systems lead to drive strategic and tactical capacity initiatives across manufacturing operations in Assam. You will own capacity systems development, layout planning, and digital transformation programs, collaborating with IT, RD, and operations to translate customer inputs into scalable factory plans.

The role requires 15+ years in industrial or semiconductor environments, with a strong track record in greenfield setups, ERP/MES

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with at least 10 years in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership of large projects across multiple organizations.
  • Experience in greenfield factory setup and capacity systems development.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, JMP).
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, and smart manufacturing platforms.
  • Knowledge of layout and new factory construction systems and principles.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of strategic and tactical capacity systems.
  • Develop strategic capacity systems for capital investment planning, space allocation, long-term scalability and ramp planning.
  • Oversee tactical capacity management for production scheduling, ramp planning, throughput analysis, line balancing, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with operations, planning, equipment engineering, R&D, and sales to translate customer inputs into actionable plans.
  • Develop and manage factory layout teams and systems integrated with capacity response planning.
  • Communicate layout requirements to facilities and construction stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional projects for capacity expansion, process changes, and layout evolution.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives including predictive analytics and digital twin; develop MES dashboards with IT.
  • Define and monitor KPIs and apply SEMI E10 standards for equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Capacity Systems
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic and tactical capacity systems.
  • Strategic capacity systems for capital investment planning, space allocation, long-term scalability and ramp planning.
  • Tactical capacity management for operational execution, production scheduling, and factory ramp planning, throughput analysis, line balancing, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with operations, planning, equipment engineering, RD, and sales to translate customer inputs into actionable plans.
Layout
  • Develop and manage factory layout team and systems integrated with capacity response planning.
  • Communicate layout requirements and changes to facilities and construction stakeholders.

  • Support greenfield startup execution including site readiness, equipment installation, and ramp-up planning.
Manufacturing Systems Development
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives including predictive analytics, AI-driven optimization, and digital twin technologies. Utilize data analytics and statistical methods to drive operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop MES dashboards and reporting tools for factory operations leadership.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), apply SEMI E10 standards for equipment performance.
