Job summary

SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Engineer / Senior Engineer in Industrial Engineering to support capacity planning for high-volume fab environments. You will identify bottlenecks, forecast capacity, and assist with CapEx justifications to meet production targets.

The role involves developing capacity models, setting WPH and OEE targets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize fab throughput and efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in engineering disciplines or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome, 1–2 years in industrial engineering for junior role; 3–5 years for senior role.

Responsibilities

• Check, analyze and evaluate fab capacity planning to identify bottleneck resource and CapEx needs.
• Develop and maintain capacity model for accurate capacity planning and forecast validation.
• Define and update capacity parameters such as WPH, tool efficiency and OEE data for planning.
• Assess new product flow for capacity ramp and track improvement plans.
• Investigate line performance and productivity using IE methodologies.

3 to 5 years working experiences in the semiconductor environment for senior position.

Skills / Abilities

Experience in high volume and aggressive production environment.

Knowledge in MS Office, MS Project, MS Access, AutoCAD will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Check, analyze and evaluate fab capacity planning to identify bottleneck resource, equipment capacity, highlight capacity gap, potential non-CapEx capacity improvement and CapEx requirement.
• Develop and maintain capacity model that is able to perform highly accurate capacity planning to validate the current FAB performance with forecasted output and potential bottleneck equipment list
• Define, setup and update capacity parameters such as WPH, tool efficiency and OEE data for short-term & long-term capacity planning. Responsible to maintain in-house capacity model system inputs to ensure the capacity model is up to date with high accuracy.
• Compare, analyze and assess new product flow for capacity ramp, highlight capacity gap and identify & track capacity improvement plan.
• Investigate, conduct line study and analyze equipment big data to identify fab productivity using IE methodologies and use result to drive and encourage improvement.
