Job Description
The profile involves working with the Industrial DMU, preparing methodology documentation, defining, developing and deploying Industrial systems and digital twin capabilities in the frame of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0, and creating best practices to assist Industrial teams from conceptual design through to the finished system.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop and deploy Industrial systems and digital twin capabilities in the frame of digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
- Create best practices to assist Industrial teams from conceptual design through to the finished system.
- Design plant layouts per different production rates with 3D simulations for logistics and human path validation.
- Iterate on alternative solutions and execute trade‑offs with simulations of industrial KPIs.
- Define forward and inverse kinematics to conceptualise new jig designs and perform 3D flow simulation.
- Automate Industrial system design with robotics simulations (material handling, spot welding, arc welding).
- Perform ergonomic analysis and evaluation for worker health and safety.
- Manage design change, release process and configuration management within industrial set‑up.
- Implement Lean manufacturing while designing/improving systems based on shop‑floor knowledge.
- Define optimal layouts and processes adhering to target Takt using industrial engineering principles.
- Build process and build concept creation.
- Apply GD&T knowledge for industrial tolerancing.
- Read and design manufacturing drawings for 2D/3D layouts, jigs and tools.
- Conduct stakeholder management to drive architecture projects, meet performance requirements and exceed expectations.
- Capture and analyse stakeholder needs and define architectural solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Digital Manufacturing Engineer working on Industry 4.0 technologies and digital twin.
- Knowledge of digital manufacturing, system layouts, kinematics, robotics simulations, ergonomic analysis and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong GD&T understanding.
- Stakeholder management and communication skills.

Qualifications
B.Tech., B.E., M.Tech. or M.E. in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering.
