Job summary

Western Refrigeration Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced leader to head Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) for the Refrigeration/HVAC sector. You will oversee raw material inspections, reliability testing, supplier audits and quality evaluation across manufacturing lines.

The role requires 13–15 years in QA within refrigeration/HVAC, hands-on SAP QM, and Six Sigma / Lean expertise. Lead continuous improvement and ensure ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 13–15 years of QA experience in Refrigeration or HVAC sector.
• Hands-on SAP QM module experience.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and TQM.

Responsibilities

• Lead IQA team for incoming material inspection, sample approvals and quality adherence.
• Drive vendor quality improvement, audits, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Oversee component reliability testing and validation.
• Ensure quality across Sheet Metal, Paint Shop, Foaming and Final Assembly lines.
• Identify and monitor CTP and CTQ metrics.
• Lead RCA, defect/rework reduction and deploy 7 QC Tools, Lean, and Six Sigma.
• Prepare quality MIS and maintain ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018 compliance.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) function. The ideal candidate will oversee raw material and component inspections, reliability testing, vendor audits, and supplier quality evaluation within the Refrigeration (HVAC) industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Incoming Quality Leadership: Lead the IQA team to ensure thorough incoming material inspection, sample approvals, and adherence to quality standards.
• Supplier Quality & Audits: Drive vendor quality improvement, conduct supplier audits, evaluate vendor performance, and manage part-related customer complaints.
• Testing & Reliability: Oversee component-level reliability testing and validation.
• Process Understanding: Ensure quality parameters across manufacturing operations, including Sheet Metal, Paint Shop, Foaming, and Final Assembly line processes.
• Critical Parameters: Identify, monitor, and maintain CTP (Critical to Process) and CTQ (Critical to Quality) metrics.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), defect/rework reduction initiatives, and deploy 7 QC Tools, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and TQM principles.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and analyze quality MIS reports; maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 13 to 15 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, specifically within the Refrigeration or HVAC / Air-Conditioning sector.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP (QM Module preferred), Advanced MS Excel, 7 QC Tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Certifications/Expertise: Working knowledge or certifications in TQM, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
