Job summary

Shreeji Mcb & Switches is seeking an Incoming Quality Control Inspector to verify all incoming materials against drawings and PO requirements before they enter production. The role includes physical, visual, and dimensional inspections using precision tools and maintaining inspection records.

The ideal candidate will have CAD experience and familiarity with ISO 9001, with a focus on accurate reporting, deviation handling, and CAPA collaboration within a lean 5S environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in IQC/Incoming Quality Control in manufacturing.
• Awareness of ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and components against drawings and PO requirements before production.
• Perform physical, visual, and dimensional inspections of materials using given tools.
• Operate precision measuring instruments safely (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges).
• Record inspection results, maintain MTRs, and log pass/fail in Quality Logbook.
• Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming materials; raise nonconformity documents and coordinate CAPA.
• Follow standard sampling plans (e.g., AQL) to determine batch acceptance or rejection.
• Maintain calibration logs and ensure 5S compliant inspection area.
• Candidates with AutoCAD experience will be given preference; ISO 9001 knowledge preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the reliability of our products.

You will be responsible for

• Inspecting, testing, and verifying all incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, technical specifications, and purchase order requirements before they hit the production floor.
• Conduct physical, visual, and dimensional inspections of incoming materials (such as molded parts, and press parts) using engineering drawings, datasheets, and sample plans.
• Equipment Proficiency: Safely operate precision measuring instruments including vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, multimeter/tester tools, and automated inspection equipment.
• Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record inspection results, maintain material test reports (MTRs), and log pass/fail data into the Quality Logbook.
• Defect & Material Disposition: Identify, segregate, and tag non-conforming or defective materials. Raise Deviation Reports or Material Rejection Notes (MRNs) and coordinate with procurement to initiate supplier corrective actions(CAPA).
• Sampling Plans: Execute standard sampling methodologies (e.g., AQL ) to determine batch acceptance or rejection limits efficiently.
• Workspace Maintenance: Maintain calibration logs for inspection tools and ensure the incoming inspection area remains clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
