Job summary

Benchmark Gensuite, based in Bangalore, is seeking a Data Analytics Manager to lead analytics projects and deliver customer-facing dashboards using Power BI on Benchmark data. You will collaborate with various teams to define requirements, build scalable data models, and ensure data quality while mentoring junior analysts.

The role emphasizes strong SQL, Python, and data visualization skills, with Tableau experience considered a plus in a fast-paced ESG software environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science with relevant coursework.
• 6–8 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or related field.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Power BI expertise; Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate analytics projects, delivering customer-facing reports and dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools on Benchmark data.
• Collaborate with Customer Services and stakeholders to gather requirements and support proposal creation.
• Define, validate, and optimize data models and data sources for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring data quality, performance, and timely issue resolution.
• Manage multiple analytics projects and priorities with effective coordination of team resources.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring on SQL, data analysis, data visualization, Power BI, and data transformation.
• Identify opportunities to improve analytics and reporting through automation and better data practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating analytics projects, working closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver customer-facing reports and dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools on Benchmark application data.
• Working with Customer Services and other stakeholders to understand requirements, finalize efforts, and provide inputs for proposal creation.
• Working with Application DEV and technical teams to define, validate, and optimize data models and data sources required for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Overseeing ongoing maintenance of reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, quality, performance, and timely resolution of data-related concerns.
• Managing multiple analytics projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination of team resources.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members on SQL, data analysis, data visualization, Power BI, and data transformation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve existing analytics and reporting processes through automation, optimization, and improved data practices.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, with coursework in database management and computer-related training.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or a related field.
• Must be able to clearly understand and articulate complex data analytics problems and independently drive effective solutions.
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with large and complex datasets is mandatory.
• Experience with Python is an added advantage.
• Extensive background in data mining, statistical analysis, and deriving meaningful insights from data.
• Advanced skills in Power BI are mandatory. Experience with Tableau is optional but will be considered an added advantage.
• Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to customers, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and mentor team members, with an interest in developing people management capabilities.
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commitment to results, responsiveness, ownership, and a clear sense of urgency.
