Job summary

Benchmark Gensuite is seeking a Data Analytics Manager in Bangalore to lead analytics projects, build customer-facing dashboards, and drive insights across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and mentor teammates in SQL, Power BI, and data visualization.

The role emphasizes advancing analytics maturity, applying advanced BI techniques, and delivering timely, high-impact reports in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in data analytics, BI, or related field.
• Must clearly articulate complex analytics problems and drive solutions.
• Strong SQL skills with large datasets are required.
• Python is a plus.
• Advanced Power BI skills required; Tableau experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate analytics projects to deliver customer-facing reports and dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools.
• Collaborate with Customer Services and stakeholders to capture requirements and support proposal development.
• Work with Application DEV and technical teams to define and optimize data models and sources for analytics.
• Oversee ongoing maintenance of reports and dashboards, ensuring data quality and performance.
• Manage multiple analytics projects, ensuring timely delivery and resource coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring on SQL, data analysis, data visualization, and Power BI.
• Identify opportunities to improve analytics processes through automation and data practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating analytics projects, working closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver customer-facing reports and dashboards using Power BI and other BI tools on Benchmark application data.
• Working with Customer Services and other stakeholders to understand requirements, finalize efforts, and provide inputs for proposal creation.
• Working with Application DEV and technical teams to define, validate, and optimize data models and data sources required for analytics and reporting solutions.
• Overseeing ongoing maintenance of reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, quality, performance, and timely resolution of data-related concerns.
• Managing multiple analytics projects and priorities, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination of team resources.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to team members on SQL, data analysis, data visualization, Power BI, and data transformation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve existing analytics and reporting processes through automation, optimization, and improved data practices.
• Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science, with coursework in database management and computer-related training.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or a related field.
• Must be able to clearly understand and articulate complex data analytics problems and independently drive effective solutions.
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with large and complex datasets is mandatory.
• Experience with Python is an added advantage.
• Extensive background in data mining, statistical analysis, and deriving meaningful insights from data.
• Advanced skills in Power BI are mandatory. Experience with Tableau is optional but will be considered an added advantage.
• Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to customers, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and mentor team members, with an interest in developing people management capabilities.
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commitment to results, responsiveness, ownership, and a clear sense of urgency.
