Job summary

Morepen Laboratories is seeking an experienced import executive to manage end-to-end pharmaceutical import operations. The role requires hands-on import documentation, DGFT compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders and CHAs.

You will oversee shipment scheduling, ensure compliance with international trade norms, and maintain import records, MIS reports, and cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical import operations.
  • Strong understanding of import documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and DGFT regulations.
  • Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, CHA, and international logistics partners.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end import operations for pharmaceutical products.
  • Prepare and verify import documents, including Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Certificate of Origin (COO), Bill of Lading (BL), Airway Bill (AWB), and Letter of Credit (LC).
  • Ensure compliance with DGFT regulations, customs requirements, and international trade norms.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, Customs House Agents (CHAs), shipping lines, and logistics partners for timely clearance and delivery.
  • Communicate with international suppliers/customers regarding order processing, shipment schedules, and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment status, resolve operational issues, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain import records and generate MIS reports for management.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs.
