Walplast Products in Navi Mumbai is seeking an Import Process Manager to oversee the end-to-end import of raw materials, machinery, and other goods, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery.

The role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwards, and customs, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.

You will work with procurement, production, and finance to align schedules and optimize costs while building strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in import roles within a manufacturing company.
• Graduate degree required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with proactive communication.

Import Process Management

• Ensure timely and cost-effective import of raw materials, machinery, and other goods.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to streamline the import process.
• Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery .

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to all import-related regulations, including customs clearance, duties, and taxes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including invoices, bill of lading, certificates of origin, and import permits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to resolve compliance issues and avoid penalties.

Cost Optimization & Vendor Management

• Negotiate with suppliers and logistics partners for cost-effective import solutions.
• Monitor import costs, including freight, duties, and handling charges, to optimize expenses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with global suppliers.

Coordination with Internal Departments

• Work closely with the procurement, production, and finance teams to align import schedules with operational needs.
• Provide updates on shipment status and expected arrival.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate Must Have

Experience at least 3 years in Import role from Manufacturing company

Should be minimum Graduate.

Must have good hands-on experience on Microsoft Excel. Requires a proactive approach and excellent verbal / written communication.

Strong interpersonal skills written, presentation.

Analytical capability, attention to detail.
