Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an Essbase Developer to design and optimize enterprise Essbase cubes, integrate data across ERP and data warehouses, and implement calc scripts and business rules. You’ll collaborate with finance teams, ensure data accuracy, and support Hyperion Planning alongside Essbase in a fast‑growing environment.

The role emphasizes robust SQL validation, on‑call production support, and partnership with IT and finance to deliver reliable reporting for Fortune 500 clients.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of Essbase experience in an enterprise finance/EPM environment.
• Strong experience with calc scripts, MaxL, and business rules.
• Hands-on with data integration tools such as FDMEE/Data Management or ODI.
• Solid SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting Hyperion Planning in conjunction with Essbase.
• Understanding of financial reporting concepts (consolidations, planning cycles).

About the Role

• Oracle Cloud EPM (PBCS/EPBCS) exposure.
• EPM Automate / scripting for automated integration jobs.
• Experience integrating with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, etc.).
• Prior experience supporting eCommerce or fintech finance teams.
• Experience with large-scale, high-transaction-volume data environments.
