Job summary

Business Intelli Solutions is seeking a Hyperion Developer & Functional Analyst to support Enterprise Performance Management solutions for the Finance organization. The role blends hands-on development with strong finance knowledge to automate processes, optimize systems, and enable accurate budgeting and reporting.

You will partner with Finance stakeholders, design and implement Hyperion/Oracle EPM applications, and ensure data integrity while supporting month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual close

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Financial Planning & Budgeting and General Accounting systems in a complex enterprise.
• Hands-on Hyperion/Oracle EPM suite experience including Essbase, Planning, Smart View, Financial Reporting, EPBCS/PBCS, EPMA, and FDMEE.
• Experience with security configuration, business rules and calc scripts, batch scripting, and finance process understanding.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance to design, develop, configure, and support Hyperion applications for planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation and reporting.
• Lead development, support, and automation of Hyperion components and data integrations across SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.
• Perform testing (unit, system, UAT) and support deployments; maintain technical documentation and user guides.
• Provide ongoing production support and triage issues to ensure data integrity across environments.

Job Title: Hyperion Developer & Functional Analyst

Position Summary

The Hyperion Developer & Functional Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions for the Finance organization. This role partners closely with Finance stakeholders to design, develop, configure, and support Hyperion applications that enable Financial Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Consolidation, and Reporting. The position blends hands‑on technical development with strong functional finance expertise, focusing on process automation, system optimization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Analysis & Business Partnership

• Act as a trusted partner to Finance teams supporting Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, General Accounting, Financial Controls, and Reporting processes.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; translate them into functional and technical specifications.
• Evaluate current finance processes and recommend system‑driven improvements, automation, and best practices.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual planning and close cycles, ensuring system stability and data accuracy.

Hyperion Development & Application Support

• Design, develop, and support Hyperion / Oracle EPM applications including:
• Hyperion Planning
• Essbase (BSO/ASO)
• Smart View for Office
• EPMA (Enterprise Performance Management Architect)
• FDMEE / Data Management.
• Develop and maintain Essbase calculation scripts, business rules, batch scripts, web forms, and metadata and Essbase Administration Services (EAS)
• Configure application security, workflows, approval hierarchies, and data validation rules.
• Build and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analysis using Hyperion Financial Reporting and Smart View.
• Support and enhance data integrations between Hyperion, ERP systems (SAP S4 HANA preferred), and upstream/downstream systems using FDMEE and other integration tools.
• Partner with IT and architecture teams to provide input on application design, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Monitor system performance, resolve production issues, and ensure data integrity across environments.

Testing, Deployment & Support

• Lead and execute unit testing, system testing, UAT support, and production deployments.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and manage enhancements and defect fixes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Financial Planning & Budgeting and General Accounting systems in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience with the Hyperion / Oracle EPM suite, including Essbase, Planning, Smart View, Financial Reporting, EPBCS/PBCS, EPMA, and FDMEE.
• Proven experience with:
• Security configuration
• Business rules and calc scripts
• Batch scripting and automation
• Strong functional understanding of finance and accounting processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP FICO integration and SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting EPM solutions in a large, complex, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality results in a fast‑paced environment.
