Job summary

Ascendion is seeking an Oracle Hyperion/EPM Infrastructure Engineer to support on‑prem environments for Fortune 500 clients. You will manage Hyperion components, ensure stability, perform tuning, and collaborate with application teams on migrations and upgrades.

The role requires hands-on WebLogic Server administration, Linux/Windows admin, and scripting for automation. On-call rotation is part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience supporting Oracle Hyperion/EPM in on-prem environment.
• Hands-on WebLogic Server administration experience.
• Strong Linux and/or Windows Server administration skills.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery for enterprise apps.
• Familiar with Oracle DB administration basics (schema, tablespace, backups).
• Scripting for automation (Shell, Perl, or Python).
• Experience delivering production environments with defined SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Own and support the on-premises infrastructure underpinning the client's Hyperion/EPM environment.
• Manage day-to-day infrastructure health: patching, backups, disaster recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning.
• Administer application servers (WebLogic/OHS) and underlying OS layers (Linux/Windows) supporting Hyperion.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-level incidents, working across environments (dev/test/prod).
• Partner with application teams on environment refreshes, migrations, and upgrades.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for production support.
• Identify and implement infrastructure enhancements to improve stability and performance.

Required Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with WebLogic Server administration.
• Solid Linux and/or Windows Server administration skills.
• Experience with backup/DR strategies for enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Oracle database administration basics (schema, tablespace, backups).
• Scripting for automation (Shell, Perl, or Python).
• Experience supporting production environments with defined SLAs.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to Oracle Cloud EPM (for future migration planning).
• ITIL‑based incident/change management experience.
• Experience in financial services or fintech‑adjacent environments.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms.
• Networking/load balancer fundamentals (F5, etc.).
• SOX or audit‑compliance experience.
