We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Team Leader to lead and supervise a team of service technicians and engineers in delivering high-quality maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and timely completion of preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Job Description
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of HVAC service technicians and engineers.
- Allocate service calls and maintenance activities based on technician skills and site requirements.
- Monitor team productivity and ensure adherence to service schedules.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and recommend skill development initiatives.
Service Operations
- Manage preventive maintenance (PM), breakdown maintenance, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).
- Ensure timely response and closure of customer service requests.
- Coordinate installation support, testing, commissioning, and system handover activities when required.
- Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Review service reports and verify completion of assigned tasks.
Technical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC system issues.
- Support troubleshooting of Chillers, VRF/VRV Systems, AHUs, FCUs, Package Units, Precision Air Conditioning Systems, Ventilation Systems, and Split Air Conditioners.
- Guide technicians in fault diagnosis and root cause analysis.
- Ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed to maximize equipment performance and reliability.
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding service-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Handle escalated service complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct periodic customer visits to review service performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Service Coordinators, Stores, Procurement, and Project Teams.
- Ensure availability of tools, manpower, and spare parts for service activities.
- Plan manpower deployment for AMC and emergency service requirements.
- Assist in preparing service quotations and spare part recommendations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Review and approve service reports, maintenance records, and technician timesheets.
- Monitor service KPIs such as response time, closure time, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for management.
- Maintain records of equipment history and service activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and statutory regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for field teams.
- Promote a culture of safe working practices across all service operations.
Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- HVAC-specific certifications will be an added advantage.
