Job summary

Kent Data Centres in Mumbai is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design of data centre and mission-critical facilities. You will design and review HVAC systems, perform equipment sizing, and prepare tender packages while coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors.

The role requires a strong background in data centre mechanical systems, CFD review experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering with Data Centre exposure.
• Experience with large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale data centres is desirable.

• Lead mechanical design activities for data centre and mission-critical facility projects.

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, client requirements, and data centre best practices.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

• Strong understanding of bid evaluation processes for mechanical packages.


• Knowledge of data centre standards and industry best practices.


• Experience reviewing and interpreting CFD studies.


• Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.


• 8-12years of experience in mechanical design and engineering with significant exposure to Data Centre projects.


• Experience working on large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Certifications

• ASHRAE Certification or Membership.


• LEED Accredited Professional (preferred).


• Relevant Data Centre Design Certifications will be an added advantage.
