Responsibilities

• Perform basic and detailed engineering work for HVAC design in data center projects.
• Conceptualise and prepare various options meeting Tier‑III plus standard and complying with ASHRAE, latest TIA‑942, etc.
• Conduct techno‑commercial evaluation of options and recommend the option to adopt.
• Select HVAC system technology appropriate for the site.
• Prepare Total Cost of Ownership for high‑side and low‑side equipment.
• Perform CFD analysis for internal and external airflow.
• Prepare Design Basis Report & Room Book.
• Calculate heat loads using software such as HAPs.
• Calculate PUE as per BS ISO IEC 30134.
• Prepare air‑flow diagram, chilled water schematic for generation and distribution.
• Select equipment like FWU, PAHU/CRAC, AHU, dehumidifier.
• Create HVAC equipment list including electrical load requirements.
• Prepare data sheets/specifications/SOO & material requisition for HVAC equipment including BMS.
• Plan and guide a team of Revit modellers in developing BIM models to LOD 100–350 during project phases.
• Review models to ensure quality control and guide modelers in extracting layouts for HVAC equipment and ducting from the 3D model.
• Prepare site works tender.
• Prepare cost estimation for the HVAC part of the project.
• Assist procurement by providing technical clarifications, participating in pre‑bid/post‑bid meetings, technical bid analysis/pre‑p or order specification.
• Review vendor drawings.
• Provide clarification to requests for information during construction.

Qualifications & Skills

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design for data center projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC design for data center projects.
• Experience in reviewing technical requirements and ensuring agreement with the HVAC basis of design document.
• Ability to monitor work and progress to ensure compliance with project requirements and schedule.
