The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience mentoring junior engineers. This position requires hands-on design work with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level engineering degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in HVAC system design, project planning, and coordination.

Responsibilities

• HVAC design and engineering for large-scale projects across sectors.
• Ducting and air distribution design and duct sizing.
• Prepare technical data sheets and assist in approvals from consultants/clients.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with clients, architects, and MEP consultants.
• Plan projects, timelines, and monitor progress against schedules.
• Support in estimation and cost optimization during variations.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer / Senior Engineer with strong expertise in HVAC system design, project planning, and coordination for large-scale projects across industrial, commercial, healthcare, and hospitality sectors. The candidate should possess sound technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and excellent coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HVAC Design & Engineering

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC system design and selection
• Design of chilled water systems including:
• Pipe sizing
• Pump head calculations
• Valve selection
• Experience in VRF systems and ventilation design
• Knowledge of heat load calculations and equipment selection

2. Ducting & Air Distribution

• Design of ducted air-conditioning systems
• Static pressure calculations
• Duct sizing and routing
• Duct insulation calculations

3. Documentation & Approvals

• Preparation of Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
• Submission and follow-up for approvals from consultants/clients

4. Drawings & Coordination

• Review and approval of shop drawings
• Coordination with clients, architects, and MEP consultants
• Interdisciplinary coordination for clash-free design

5. Project Planning & Execution

• Project planning and scheduling
• Preparation of project timelines and milestones
• Monitoring progress against schedules

6. Commercial & Variation Management

• Preparation and review of project variations
• Support in estimation and cost optimization

Additional Responsibilities (For Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager):

• Lead and mentor a team of design engineers and draftsmen
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of design outputs
• Interface with senior stakeholders and clients
• Provide technical guidance and decision-making support
