Job summary

Sanvi Business Solutions is hiring an HVAC Design Engineer for our Guindy, Chennai office. The role requires hands-on design work, layout preparation, and equipment selection for commercial, hospital, and IT park projects.

Based in Chennai with Mon-Sat work, you will perform load calculations using HAP, create shop drawings in AutoCAD and Revit MEP, and coordinate with site teams to resolve design issues. Growth to senior roles is anticipated within 12–18 months.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical with HVAC certification.
• Min 2 years of HVAC design experience for commercial/hospital/IT park projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit MEP; HAP.
• Based in Chennai, preferably near Guindy/Velachery/Saidapet/Alandur.

Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting & piping drawings.
• Perform cooling/heating load calculations using HAP or E20.
• Select equipment (AHU, FCU, Chillers, VRF/VRV, Pumps, Fans).
• Prepare BOQ, submittals & material take-offs.
• Coordinate with project and site teams for design clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with NBC/ISHRAE/ASHRAE and local codes.
• Review vendor drawings and support procurement.

Leading HVAC Projects Company handling Commercial, Industrial, Hospital & IT Park projects is hiring a HVAC Design Engineer.

*Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting & piping drawings – Shop & GFC drawings in AutoCAD & Revit MEP

• Perform cooling / heating load calculations – HAP / E20 as per ASHRAE – Heat load mandatory
• Equipment selection – AHU, FCU, Chillers, VRF / VRV, Pumps, Fans
• Prepare BOQ, technical submittals & material take-offs for tenders
• Coordinate with project & site teams for design clarifications & site issues
• Ensure compliance with NBC, ISHRAE, ASHRAE & local codes
• Review vendor drawings & support procurement

*Mandatory Requirements:*

– B.E / http://B.Tech Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical with HVAC certification – ISHRAE cert is a plus

• Min 2 years in HVAC design for commercial / hospital / IT park projects – Portfolio must
• Software: AutoCAD – Mandatory, Revit MEP – Mandatory, HAP – Mandatory. Navisworks / Trace 700 is a plus
• Strong knowledge of psychrometrics, duct design, pipe sizing, static pressure calculations
• Must be based in Chennai – Candidates near Guindy, Velachery, Saidapet, Alandur preferred
